Performed scheduled heating maintenance on a heat pump system, model Trane XV20i. I started by checking the air filter for dirt and wear, replacing it with a new MERV 13 filter to improve airflow. Then, I cleaned the evaporator and condenser coils to ensure optimal heat exchange. I inspected the reversing valve for any signs of wear, confirming it was functioning correctly to switch between heating and cooling modes. The refrigerant levels were checked and topped off using R-454B to ensure efficient operation. The system's thermostat was calibrated, and the drain line was cleared of any debris to prevent blockages. Finally, I tested the unit's overall performance, confirming everything was running smoothly for the upcoming colder months.
