3/21/25 Cleaned and inspected southeast and southwest systems for shipping. Southwest Compressor #1 was out of Puron upon arrival. Leak search will be needed. Southeast thermostat wouldn’t engage Y2 but that could be due to cooler temperatures outside. Maintenance will monitor this summer.

Cleaned and inspected Room 4 North thru Room 6. Upon further inspection it appears the relay on Room 2 North damaged the system more than previously expected. The fusible link was not operational. The main limit was not operational. And the heater element was heavily damaged. Replaced the main limit to keep the system from short cycling. And replaced the fusible link to test the heater. Heater package will need to be replaced.

Completed routine AC maintenance. System in good condition overall. Cleaned condenser coil, checked refrigerant pressures (normal), tested capacitor, and inspected electrical components. Minor corrosion on contactor - cleaned but will need replacement next visit. Airflow and temperature differential within specifications. Recommended duct cleaning next year.

Installed new York YCG 14 SEER single-stage AC with matching 80,000 BTU 96% AFUE modulating furnace. Replaced all ductwork in attic with properly sealed and insulated R-8 flex duct. System running efficiently with 45°F temperature rise in heating mode. Set up and programmed Wi-Fi thermostat. All work passed city inspection. 10-year parts and 2-year labor warranty provided.

We responded to a no-heat call in Marion, IL, for a Carrier CNPVP air handler paired with a Bryant 225B heat pump. The system was running, but the air handler wasn’t producing warm air. After diagnostics, we found a failed heat sequencer, preventing the auxiliary electric heat from engaging. Additionally, the reversing valve in the Bryant 225B was stuck in cooling mode due to a faulty solenoid coil. We replaced the sequencer and solenoid coil, tested the defrost cycle, and confirmed the system was heating properly. If your heat pump isn’t keeping up, call us for expert HVAC service!
